The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Database Management Clerk; to compile, formulate, audit and present reports and to process, maintain and dispose of documentation used to manage transportation databases.

Duties
Performs as Aerial Port Database Clerk.
Compiles, formulates and audits transportation reports.
Processes passenger and cargo manifests.
Processes Department of Customs and Agriculture bills and compiles packets for submission for payment.
Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization.

- Required to be diplomatic and tactful, yet convincing in coordination with senior officers and higher headquarter agencies.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station.
- May be required to work rotating and/or 12 hour shifts.
- Subject to working normal and other than normal duty hours, holidays, weekends, with staggered days off.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Transportation Clerk and Assistant Series, 2102.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes the incumbent must have knowledge in Military Air Transportation Systems and Department of Defense, Air Mobility Command and aerial port of embarkation and debarkation management and operation to investigate and resolve routine and recurring discrepancies.

EDUCATION: Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
l . Knowledge in the functionality of military air transportation computer systems including the Global Air - Transportation Execution System and office automation software.
2. Knowledge and ability to apply the mathematical and statistical tools necessary to ensure data accuracy and identify trends.
3. Skill to produce and interpret computer generated products.
4. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
5. Knowledge of relevant Department of Defense Transportation regulations and instructions. Microcomputer skills facilitating data entry, maintenance and accountability.
6. Ability of establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships. Knowledge of documentation disposition regulations and instructions
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
