You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL FACIILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will perform and provide guidance in the areas of property accountability, asset management, disposition of excess property, inventory procedures, lost and/or damaged property, and administrative adjustment actions. You will provide expertise in the areas of implementing and managing DoD, Navy, and Command policy and guidance. You will develop, run, and support accountability and management reporting. You will develop new and approved techniques and methods required for operation within area of responsibility in accordance with policy and regulations. You will schedule, initiate, coordinate, document, reconcile, and gain concurrence on general equipment and operating materials and supplies physical inventories and plans. You will develop and implement corrective action plans when inventory accuracy not met or inventory frequency requirements are not maintained. You will establish and maintain local command policy and processes for proper management of general equipment and operating materials and supplies. You will review regulatory or directive guidance pertaining to assigned functions and brief management on scope and effect on current operations.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing and providing guidance in the areas of property accountability, asset management, disposition of excess property, inventory procedures, lost and/or damaged property, and administrative adjustment actions; 2) Applying analytical and problem solving methods and techniques to identify requirements, resolve issues, provide documentation and other business products, and accomplish studies, projects, and assignments concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of property and inventory management, accountability and control; 3) Managing, coordinating and analyzing data, creating and running reports and queries in support of inventory management; 4) Working with project managers and unit points of contact with various accountability and management functions, monitoring and advising supervisor and other management officials on all changes in regulatory guidance, and recommending improvements of operations and processes.
