Duties
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION
The primary purpose of the PROGRAM MANAGER (DEPUTY AIR COMMANDER), GS-0340-14, is to provide leadership and management of the flying unit, to provide manpower, equipment, and training in peacetime, in preparation to perform the wartime mission. The incumbent is accountable with the Air Commander in complying with a wide variety of federal, state, and local authorities on all aspects of operations, personnel, equipment, funds, and real property in the accomplishment of duties. In addition, this position may have similar supervisory and/or support responsibilities for other flying and non-flying units which may be collocated or geographically separated.
This position is concurrently announced with AGR 25-025 and DSG 25-001 . Only one of the announced positions will be filled. Referral and selection will be IAWCNGFPR335.

Qualifications
General Experience: Must possess experience, education or training in managing or directing, one or more programs, including appropriate supporting service organizations. Supervisory, managerial, professional or technical work experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems.
PROGRAM MANAGER (DEPUTY AIR COMMANDER), GS-0340-14: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by: experience analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources; Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures; Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions; Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
