About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade. Logistics Readiness Center, Rock Island Arsenal, IL
Duties
Conducts inventories and verifies stock levels.
Determines allocation of storage space, type of storage facilities, equipment used and protective measures.
Performs review and management of property accountability records and documents register files.
Determines ammunition requirements, establishes requisition objectives, and procurement methods to be employed.
Conducts continual survey of storage operations to maintain prescribed storage, safety, and security standards.
Receives, issues and ships all types of ammunition and inputs data into the Standard Army Ammunition System - Modernization.
Develops and establishes policies for storage and supply of Class V material.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Position will require occasional evening, and/or holiday hours, to include mandatory overtime as mission dictates.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
- Position is covered by the 1998 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in: 1) ammunition supply management as it relates to ammunition requisitioning, storage, distribution, and disposal; and 2) ammunition accountability and control to include maintaining ammunition stock records and operating automated ammunition supply systems.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management or Inventory Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
