This position is in the Personnel and Information Security (NNP) organization of the Office of Security and Continuity of Operations (NN), Chief Administrative Office (N), Bonneville Power Administration.
The purpose of this position is to serve as the manager of the Personnel and Information Security organization and a member of the Security and Continuity of Operations management team, providing direction and leadership in the administration of personnel and information security programs.
Duties
As a Supervisory Security Specialist, you will:
Serve as the Manager of the Personnel and Information Security organization and a member of the Security and Continuity of Operations management team.
Exercise delegated managerial authority to set a series of annual and longer-range work plans.
Make major recommendations and decisions related to changes in the structure of the organization managed.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Develop performance standards and evaluate the work performance of subordinates.
Interview candidates for positions and make selections, promotions, and reassignments to such positions.
Identify developmental and training needs of employees and provide or arrange for needed development and training.
Represent the Personnel and Information Security organization in working directly with executive-level personnel, managers and staff in BPA, DOE HQ, and other Federal agencies.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience leading a project or team in 1) planning and implementing a personnel and information security program; 2) ensuring compliance with requirements (e.g. Executive Orders, laws, DOE, DHS and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protections (CIP) standards); AND 3) recommending changes to personnel and information security policies, practices, and standards.
