This National Guard position is for a DIRECTOR OF FORCE SUPPORT, Position Description Number D2696000 and is part of the 174TH ATKW, National Guard.

Duties
As a Director of Force Support, GS-0301-13, you will serve as the Force Support Squadron (FSS) Director and to exercise first and second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the FSS, manage the activities of the FSS, Commander Support Staff (CSS) and oversee the planning, direction, and timely execution of high visibility and high impact FSS programs. This PD can only be utilized when the DSG Commander is the full-time technician. The Director of Force Support makes independent technical and executive decisions for the squadron in all areas of functional responsibility. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Title 32 Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification.

Qualifications
Military Grades: Officer Only
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Must have experience planning, directing, and administering force support programs for wing military personnel and associate units. Must have knowledge of the basic concepts, principles, and theories of military human resources management and the ability to adapt these to meet mission requirements of the state. Must have the analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and mastery level knowledge of a substantial body of administrative or program principles, concepts, policies, and objectives.
