As an Administrative Specialist supporting the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD) at NASA Headquarters, you will be responsible for a wide variety of analytical, administrative, and associated management support services for the organization.
Duties
Manage and track actions received for ESDMD response and assist with development of correspondence based on information provided in various HQ forums while maintaining schedule and calendar of due dates for actions and deliverables.
Establish, manage, and maintain relationships/partnerships with HQ Mission Support providers to ensure timely awareness of HQ information pertinent for ESDMD awareness.
Collaborate with other members of the ESDMD Business Office to facilitate quality checks of correspondence and action responses.
Assist with the development/vetting of templates used for correspondence and assist with the establishment of controls for safeguarding correspondence and the documentation of workflows for correspondence reviews and approvals.
Establish, manage, and maintain contact and distribution lists for various types of correspondence.
Coordinate the assignment of actions while tracking responses and assisting with related reporting.
Maintain knowledge of action tracking systems and ensure new employee training as applicable.
Assist with the development and implementation of processes for improved correspondence and control.

Requirements
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
- This is a temporary promotion or detail opportunity not to exceed SIX (6) MONTHS with the option to extend or make permanent without further competition.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-11, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level
Tracking actions for a team or office utilizing action tracking tools or applications;
Providing customer support for a team or office;
Serving as a point of contact for internal and external customers for correspondence.
OR
b) Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field
OR
c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field
OR
d) LL.M., if related
OR
e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above
