As the Program Support Assistant assigned to Supply Chain Management, Veteran Affairs Caribbean Health Care System in Carolina, Puerto Rico, at Carolina Warehouse responsible for organizing and maintaining the complex day-to-day administrative/clerical operations of the Warehouse Section. Your primary purpose is to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, data collection and reports, work orders, ordering office supplies, and other administrative/clerical duties.
Duties
Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Compile information for any required annual and special reports, meetings, conferences, and memorandums from required sources.
Receive visitors at the logistics areas and provides support addressing telephone calls for the Service.
Provides support to administrative personnel of the Supply Chain Service.
Coordinate with FMS the maintenance and cleaning of all areas and rooms assigned to the Supply Chain Warehouse office.
Provided support with the reservation of training rooms assigned to the Supply Chain Warehouse office.
Receive, review, and processes all mail Internal and External in accordance with established criteria.
Service as timekeeper of the designated area. Follow regulations in accordance with policies. Review time and attendance to ensure completeness prior to certification.
Responsible for scheduling and coordinating the agenda for monthly staff meetings, coordinating meetings, and of maintaining file of minutes of the multiple committees that she/he attends.
Other duties, as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Physical Requirements:
The work is Sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there maybe some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts, or driving and automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
The work environment involves everyday risks and discomforts, which require normal safety precautions typical of such places and offices, meeting and training rooms, or libraries. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

Qualifications

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: data collection and reports, equipment turn-in, work orders, ordering of office supplies, HR liaison duties, records management, ADPAC duties, and other administrative/clerical duties. OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have completed four (4) years above high school. NOTE: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level, only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable. You must have an appropriate combination of specialized experience and education. NOTE: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation.
Preferred Experience:
Basic knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
