You will serve as a Electronic Alarm System Mechanic in the Navy Public Works Center of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will disassemble and reassemble equipment to make repairs or replace circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, or conveyors.
You will install, maintain, repair, modify, and test security alarm systems for facilities.
You will troubleshoot electronic systems, components, or devices using research manuals, blueprints, or diagrams to plan method of repair.
You will perform analysis on system failures to determine troubleshooting procedures and data corrections.
You will use electronic amplifiers, processors, filters, bridges, or other electronic devices to transform electro-acoustical, electro-mechanical, or electro-optical devices into digital signals.
You will use test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, transistor tester, logic comparator, volt-ohm meter, special purpose test set) to install and repair electronic equipment.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
