About the Position: This position provides medical logistics to the 22nd Medical Group at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas.

Duties

Assist account custodians with determining stock levels for non-recurring, specialized items. Coordinate deliveries with inventory control points, manufacturers, and other organizations. Conduct record keeping such as updates on policies, directives, reporting, and informational duties. Provide support for service, repair, and purchase of medical materiel and/or parts requiring special handling. Conduct searches for information pertaining to supply transactions and patterns. Compile statistics requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats. Review requisitions, supporting documents, and reference material to determine priority, status and requirement changes.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting inventory, providing customer assistance, and maintaining supply records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Inventory ManagementSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
