You will serve as a Security Assistant (Office Automation) in the Provost Marshall/Marine Corps Police Department at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. The duty station is San Diego, CA.
Duties
You will perform one or more of the following functions: Pass and ID/Vehicle Registration, Police Records, Contractor Security, Visitors Center; Blotter Entry, Supply, Civilian Court, and/or Motor Transport Dispatch.
In the Pass and ID section you will register vehicles, reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
In the Police Records section, you will record traffic citations in databases and assist the Base Magistrate, maintaining records.
You will process Incident Complaint Reports, Weapons Registration, update Law Enforcement databases.
In the Contractor Security section, you will process contractors and vendors for base access.
In the Visitors Center section, you will receive and process Sponsored and Unsponsored Visitor Forms.
In the Blotter section, you will prepare and maintain the Daily Police Blotter.
In the Supply section, you will control, issue, retrieve, and maintain accountability of supplies and equipment.
As a Civilian Court Liaison, you will prepare, track, maintain, and file correspondence, records, and documents

Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You must be a qualified typist.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using knowledge of the following Pass and ID/Vehicle Registration, Police Records, Contractor Security, Visitors Center; Blotter Entry, Supply, Civilian Court, and/or Motor Transport Dispatch to perform the following:
1) Complying with established rules, regulations, practices, and guidance to perform provide administrative assistance
2) Using correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and terminology commonly used in office settings to prepare material correctly.
3) Performing administrative support for Pass and ID/Vehicle Registration, Police Records, Contractor Security, Visitors Center; Blotter Entry, Supply, Civilian Court, and/or Motor Transport Dispatch.
4.) Using office automation software to include knowledge and experience with office automation software, such as, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access).
5) Effectively communicating orally and writing to provide administrative support and customer service, using appropriate tact.
