About the position: This position will be assigned to the Shop, Moody AFB, GA. This position will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Shop at Moody AFB. Guaranteed 0 hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week. Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally objects weighing over 50 pounds. Frequently stands, bends, stoops, crawls and works in tight spaces.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to the following: Provides instruction to patrons, as requested or as deemed appropriate, and on a regular and recurring basis, performs such duties as: troubleshooting; rebuilding and automotive engines, major assemblies, test, and/or overhaul components on motor vehicles. Performs cleanup duties as required. Performs other related duties as assigned. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel and gasoline powered engines which included the full range of repairing, dissembling, testing, troubleshooting and overhauling of these engines. Knowledge of the makeup, operation, and installation of complex major systems and assemblies to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems or to rebuild one or more systems. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
