About the Position: This position is the primary point of contact to the Medical Squadron Command commander/director for administrative support programs at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida.
Duties
Assist the commander/director in the management of administrative support program functions, preparing, maintaining and dissemination reports, information and correspondence.
Assist with internal operations to include administrative training, security, development of organizational operating instructions and regulations, and personnel assistance.
Oversee duties and work products, identifying processes which can be improved or made more efficient through application of automated technology or other methods.
Conduct reviews and briefings on management functions with recommended courses of action for resolving problems.
Manage support programs to include Government Travel Card, Defense Travel System, drug demand reduction, health care, fitness, Government Purchase Card, safety, supply, cybersecurity liaison time and attendance and unit recognition.
Liaison between the military and civilian personnel offices, monitoring personnel actions, tracking personnel, manpower and training transactions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Tuberculin (TB) test is required.
