This position is located in the Disbursing & Debt Management (DDM), Federal Disbursement Services (FDS), Operations Support Division, Branch as assigned. The mission of Disbursing & Debt Management, Federal Disbursement Services, is to provide a full spectrum of unparalleled payment services on behalf of government entities to the American public.
Duties
As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:
Plan, schedule, and conduct studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve work processes. Work is performed both independently and as the leader of a project team.
Analyze and evaluate DDM programs, products, and services effectiveness in meeting goals and objectives.
Review, evaluate, and recommend changes regarding reports, processes, programs, objectives, and goals, including short and long-range goals and strategies.
Establish and update operating procedures, reference guides and processes within the center to ensure staff has clear guidance to support their performance on work activities.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.
Specialized experience: For the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Analyzing findings and serving as an advisor to management by making recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of programs and operations; AND
- Developing program objectives and measure progress toward those objectives; AND
- Composing oral or written presentations for delivery to management and potential stakeholders.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
