Duties

You will perform a variety of duties in the development of on-site planning documentation for projects involving construction, sustainment, restoration, modernization or emergency repair. You will perform space management studies that entail the review of space utilization by a given function (Department, N-code, command, etc.) and compare specifications to the approved Basic Facility Requirements (BFR) for that entity. You will coordinate various features of engineering projects with engineers, customers, environmental staff, financial personnel, etc. Functions as a Planning Project Manager, with oversight from concept to execution. You will update the Naval Facilities Assets Data Store (iNFADS property database) to maintain current records. You will provide Management with appropriate facilities planning information necessary to make the best decisions for the station and Region.

  • You may be assigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within the NAVFAC serviced geographic area as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing various on-site planning documentation involving construction, alteration, maintenance and repair with the intent of producing executable projects; 2) Planning and producing comprehensive work packages to be used as the basis for administrative or budget planning, special project and Military Construction projects; 3) Communicating orally and in writing regarding planning studies, budget/funding, and presenting finding and recommendations. Responding to data calls and requests for information; 4) Performing facility asset evaluations at various bases and producing quality iNFADS records updates; 5) Reviewing, preparing and uploading documentation related to real property construction, purchase and disposal; and 6) Creating and updating draft basic facility requirements documentation and loads approved data into Navy tracking systems.***NOTE: THIS INFORMATION (or similar duties) MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
