Duties
Plans and conducts investigations covering alleged improper business practices, mismanagement, property discrepancies, cash variances, suspected minor criminal activity, and other controversial subjects that may result in administrative judgments, sanctions, or penalties. Manages several cases that widely vary in complexity and stages of development. Initiates to develop information on such issues through further fact-finding, interrogation, documentary search, and surveillance until there is enough evidence to support a legal or administrative decision within criteria established by applicable laws, rules, or regulations. Prepares and submits investigative reports to the supervisor for final determination/disposition of the Assistant Chief of Staff of MCCS. May be required to appear at criminal and administrative proceedings. Frequently acts as liaison with appropriate law enforcement agencies when criminal activity is suspected. Develops and participates in new employee orientation and continuing employee training in security and loss prevention as needed. Serves as an Army Recreation Machine Program (ARMP) Command Representative as needed.

Qualifications
Four (4) years of progressively responsible investigative experience, including conducting interviews, taking statements, and preparing detailed reports OR degree in Business Administration, Law Enforcement or any related field. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. General knowledge in legal procedures for handling criminal and administrative related activities. Ability to employ tact and diplomacy to react quickly and effectively in emergency situations. Must have or be able to obtain a valid government driver's license and a Secret Security Clearance. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
