About the Position: Performs an array of business program services for the Contracting Division, Savannah District. Provides administrative and budget support to Contracting Division employees. Business program support includes property accountability, credit card purchases, time keeping, responding to Congressional and higher HQ inquiries, and managing the Contract Audit Follow-up program.

Duties

Provide administrative support to the Chief of Contracting Office, Deputy Chief of Contracting Office and Contracting Division Work with procurement analysts and contracting officers to collect, consolidate, review, and analyze statistical and narrative information data to provide responses to data calls from higher management and organizational levels. Responsible for several business functions for the Savannah District Contracting Division, including managing and tracking all pre-award and post-award audits, taskers and data calls. Responsible for managing and tracking all property for the Contracting Division, including management of primary hand receipt and sub-hand receipts to all Contracting Division employees Formulate the consolidated Contracting Division budget using income projections from Programs and Project Management, Operations Division, Construction Division and other technical offices. Analyze previous budget cycles for cost and expenditure trends and patterns and adjusts budget category recommendations based on those trends. Assist Contracting Division employees in development of travel orders and vouchers for training-related travel. Manage purchases under the micro-purchase threshold using the Government Purchase Card. Manage the Contracting Division’s mandatory training plans for all assigned Contracting. Gathers and organizes information on technical training requirements and mandatory training.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing requests for personnel action and coordinating status of in-process personnel actions. Developing income projections, proposed expenditures and monitoring/managing the contracting division operating budget. Analyzing previous budget cycles for cost and expenditure trends and patterns and monitoring multiple direct charging and expenditure accounts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Arithmetic/Mathematical ReasoningCustomer ServiceManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
