The Operations Business Director reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for Treasury Operations. This position leads three operational branches: Property Management (Facilities Management, Construction Project Management, Leased Buildings and Real Property Management, Engineering (Mechanical (HVAC), Electrical, and Carpentry Shops), and Curatorial Branch (The Curator, Historical Collections, Gift Processing, and Public Tour Program) and Approximately 35 employees plus contractors.

As an Operations Business Director, you will: Develop and implement long-range strategies, plans of actions and milestones, and contingency plans, to enable mission success to include complex movement of tenant locations within the Treasury footprint. Support and enable the development of a robust business information system and facilitates data-based decision-making and customer service excellence including space management and real property tracking. Closely collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to develop proposals and options to make sound business recommendations to the DAS for Treasury Operations, for improving customer service, cost-efficiency, and mission effectiveness. Compute and study life cycle costs, transaction costs, as well as the opportunity costs associated with delivery of portfolio services. Develop innovative and out-of-the-box proposals and policy options that enable Treasury Operations to make measurable progress quantum leaps towards achieving operational sustainability and climate resiliency.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-15: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes all of the following: Experience developing and managing employees professional development and training; AND Experience with formulation of goals and objective, and developing strategies to achieve the desired operational outcomes; AND Responsibility for formulation and execution of program budgets; AND Experience with the evaluation of programs effectiveness, including the use of metrics and providing recommendations for continuous improvement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
