About the Position: This position is located in the U.S. Recruiting Command (USAREC), Battalion (BN), S-1. Its purpose is to process a variety of military Human Resource actions in support of the BN, its supporting companies, and recruiting stations.
Duties
Conduct detailed reviews of military personnel records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Answer inquiries concerning military human resource actions.
Review consolidated reports to prepare recommendations for military human resource actions.
Process a variety of military human resource actions to include requests for transfers, reassignments, promotions, military classifications, and separations.
Maintain officer and enlisted human resource records in accordance with established procedures.
Collaborate with Brigade (BDE) personnel to efficiently process and implement actions.
Monitor suspense actions to ensure that established deadlines are met.
Utilize an automated system to prepare personnel strength reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to be able to type 40 words per minute.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. USAREC Employees: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing an established system to track or maintain personnel data; assist in the review of personnel actions to assure accuracy and/or completeness; and maintain personnel files in accordance with established procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-5).
ALL Other Applicants: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing an established system (i.e., Electronic Military Personnel Office (eMILPO) to process personnel actions; accurately preparing personnel reports or actions; and utilizing automated system to input data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6).
OR
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration or Human Resources.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
