You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Accounting Division of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.
Duties
You will review and maintain current and prior year obligation/expenditure records related to Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS) charges and credits in SABRS/DAI.
You will participate in Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) reviews as it relates to time and attendance ensuring that all documentation for processing time and attendance is accurately documented.
You will ensure all users are fully aware of the rules and responsibilities associated with using an unclassified timekeeping system.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Employee must achieve and maintain all command required certifications.
- Required to report to the command when requested.
- May be required to travel on military or civilian aircraft and waterborne craft, deploy onboard ships, or serve at remote sites as required.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP), and the incumbent is subject to random drug testing. Incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May be required to travel or perform temporary additional duty assignments for approximately 5% of the time both inside and outside the Continental United States in executing assigned technical advisory or consultation duties.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Formulating budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
GS-07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in the formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs and activities.

GS-07
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
GS-09
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
