Duties

Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and common areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using brooms, mops, lightweight equipment such as vacuum cleaners, and lightweight floor scrubbers. Dusts waxes and polishes furniture and fixtures. Cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes bathroom and toilet facilities. Make beds and changes linen. Washes mirrors, walls, windows, and blinds. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Must attend Team Member Orientation within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
• This is a flexible position. Flexible positions have no guaranteed hours. A flexible employee serves in a continuing position on a scheduled or as needed basis.
• Must be willing to work varying and/or rotating shifts.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para 2.
• All employees are required to be available for Community Events that Business Operations Division Supports. The events include but not limited to Octoberfest, Freedom Fest, Children's Festival and Winterfest.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must be able to follow simple oral instructions and use hand or light weight powered cleaning tools and equipment as described which generally require no prior training or previous work experience. Best Qualified: Possess 3-6 months Custodial experience. **Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official first.
