The position is located in the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS (AFRH-G), Resident Services, Admissions-G. Duties
As a Admissions Clerk, you will:
Principal office support for management of guest room reservations, confirmation, credit card payment collection and reconciliation, guest room furnishings, and management of roll-away bed rental delivery and retrieval in accordance with AFRH-G Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Maintain and track calendars, reservations, payments, and spreadsheets.
Assist with monthly New Resident Orientation, ensuring the venue is prepared and IT has provided proper Audio-Visual equipment for the presentation. Records resident attendance for reporting to the AFRH-G Performance Improvement Integrator.
Prepare and provide documents to departing residents and notifies appropriate staff of the resident's departure.
Assist the Resident Services Admission Officer by collecting quality assurance and customer satisfaction surveys related to Resident Sponsor performance, room readiness, and staff responsiveness, in addition to other pertinent quality measure. Continuously identifies common trends and patterns in customer complaints and makes recommendations to the Admissions Officer on their resolution.

Specialized experience for the GS-07 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-06 level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.
Specialized experience includes:
Experience in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, consider and resolve customer service issues of procedural or factual nature, and exercise independent judgement in problem solving; AND
Experience in conducting research using automated databases, paper files, and other records assignments; AND
Experience in using Microsoft Suite software or similar systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; AND
Experience in communicating orally and in writing, courteously, to public, staff, and residents.
