This position will perform maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related utilities. Assist journeyman/higher grade maintenance workers in performing more difficult assignments such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, roofing, and other trades.
This position may be filled for a six-month seasonal period, but can vary due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: Late-April to October 2025.
Duties

Operate and maintain a public water system including daily residual testing, pump operations, flushing lines, and managing equipment.
Must be certified by the State of Utah as a Water Operator.
Perform repairs and maintenance to building systems including carpentry, finish work, plumbing, electrical, and concrete.
Maintain tools and equipment used in facility management in a safe an efficient manner.
Physical Effort: Works from ladders, scaffolds and platforms and where surfaces to be coated, or the parts of systems worked on are hard to reach requiring the incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts, carries and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside where dirt, spray, and fumes are present. Also required to work in inclement weather and/or wear protective equipment and clothing that are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable.
If the incumbent of the position operates a motor vehicle(s), they must have a valid State's Driver's License.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (Must possess State of Utah Water Operator License - SCREEN OUT)
Ability to Inspect
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
Knowledge of Materials
Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
