You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (MIL/OA) in the Assistant for Officer Procurement (AOP) section, Marine Corps Recruiting Command of 1ST MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will forecast and process financial assistance program and marine corps tuition assistance program requests. You will receive calls from internal/external personnel. You will coordinate and provide recommendations in administrative requirements and applicant processing during Marine Corps District training conferences. You will ensure Marine Corps District poolee residual files are maintained and up to date. You will prepare applications, brief sheets, and databases for selection boards. You will prepare orders for summer training. You will ensure processing of incoming and outgoing mail is completed timely.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing clerical support and attention to detail such as finding potential background screening risks, reviewing documents for errors, and/or processing applicant packages for commissioning programs.
