You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will provide customer service by answering transportation questions accurately via in-person, phone and email.
You will closely monitor travel details for budgeting and disposition purposes and communicate status changes and/or clearance information to appropriate personnel.
You will make transportation mode selections for small shipments, and at times, will divert to quicker methods.
You will compile information and produce daily and monthly reports as required.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Interpreting and applying information contained in various transportation manuals and regulations to support assignments and help resolve problems of a wide variety; 2) Receiving, entering, and processing data associated with air clearance requests; 3) Informing customers of air challenge procedures, applicable instructions, and amplifying information; 4) Assisting and counseling customers, commercial industries, and DOD activities on proper packaging, documentation, and hazardous certification requirements.
