You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the Information Technology/ Information Management Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will administer technical assistance to multiple customers to determine space requirements, efficient communications equipment layouts for expanding or relocating facilities equipment, and special needs.
You will make decisions that produce high-quality results by applying technical knowledge, analyzing problems, and calculating risks.
You will identify problems and recommend solutions for operational impacts on communication systems and computer networks.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 802 level intermediate within 6 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Act as a project lead for IT projects such as Naval Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and Research, Development, Test, and Evaluate (RDT&E) surveys, Military Constructions (MILCONs), facility upgrades, telephone systems; interface with FRC East, MCAS, and contractors involved in telecommunications projects; 2) Plan for and support budgets for telecommunications projects; 3)Prepare and review equipment and facility specifications, monitor and resolve technical communication problems in the preparation of facilities and the procurement and installation of equipment, and develop and/or conduct operational acceptance tests.
