You will serve as an Electrician in the Public Works Department Everett of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will plan and lay out routing, placement, and arrangement of industrial or similarly complex systems, circuits, controls, and equipment, in accordance with building plans, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. You will install, repair and maintain a variety of complete electrical systems. You will determine and place distribution panels, boxes, fittings, and connections and install wiring, couplings, conduit relays, fixtures, transformers and other electrical devices including electrical service entrances. You will trace hard-to-locate defects or problems and completes repairs and installations.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
  • You may be required to obtain and maintain current licenses to operate Folk Lift, High Lift (JLG), Bucket Truck and/or construction equipment.
  • You may be required to become CPR certified.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Position may require special certification or license if assigned work requires special certification or licensing to perform the work or to use specialized tools or equipment.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Assisting in the installation and maintenance of complete electrical systems; 2) Working from blueprints, wiring diagrams, building plans, and repair manuals; 3) Installing and arranging various gauges, sizes, wires, couplings, and circuit breakers to ensure proper and safe operation of electrical systems.
