You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the WHITE SANDS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will serve as the Pacific Range Support Team (PRST) Lead Technician to apply a broad knowledge of equipment and instrumentation systems capabilities, analyze support requirements and execute instrumentation support plans.
You will analyze requirements to determine areas where White Sands Department (WSD) PRST instrumentation support is required.
You will apply knowledge of engineering principles in developing specifications for assigning WSD PRST instrumentation equipment in real time for both on and off range areas.
You will coordinate and assist field operations personnel in pre-mission setups of WSD PRST Instrumentation systems
You will develop and design test and repair equipment, analyze repair practices, or develop procedural instructions on methods and steps of equipment repairs.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing engineering project and instrumentation support requirements to implement test plans, evaluate repair or maintenance practices, and resolve engineering issues for a warfare program.
