Duties
You will evaluate and develop directives that implement high-level policy changes that impact significant information technology programs or projects.
You will analyze statutory requirements against existing directives and policies to assess the degree of change necessary to comply with
new requirements.
You will perform continuing assessments of Marine Corps portfolio operations and resource expenditures regarding Information technology Portfolio Management practices to evaluate the extent to which policy objectives are being achieved.
You will ensure policies, processes and governance of information technology portfolios result in synergies between programs in support of Joint, Naval and Marine Corps warfighting concepts and capabilities.
You will analyze feasibility studies, proposals, and in-depth analyses of current requirements and forecasts trends for future needs.
You will serve as a staff member/Subject Matter Expert on the portfolio repository, applications cloud and database management.
You will research and/or analyzes evolving project-related IT issues or problems where the success of the project is dependent on the identification and analysis of complex IT solutions.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and stated in your resume.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices. Develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies; provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
