Duties

Analyze production, cost, and personnel utilization records to evaluate progress of work and to control or reduce costs. Coordinate work operations as needed with the supervisors of other organizations and functions. Provide supporting documentation for recommended changes to plans in view of existing and projected capabilities and needs. Act on personnel problems referred by subordinate supervisors, and serves as a management representative at hearings, meetings, and negotiations involving labor-management relations. Participate in review and improvement of work methods, organizational features, and the structuring of positions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Subject to call back after hours seven days a week.
  • This is a key emergency-designated, weather-essential position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

I have the ability to perform common duties which include: 1) Coordinating maintenance and repair of industrial heating and boiling plant systems, industrial air conditioning systems, and/or secondary power distribution and utility hook-up systems; 2) Utilizing diagrams, charts, or manuals to determine techniques and processes related to preventive maintenance repairs, and component replacements. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
