This position is located in San Juan National Historic Site, in the Facility Maintenance Division.
This is a Career/Career-Conditional Full-time appointment.

Duties
Provide technical and administrative supervision over subordinates performing various trades and labor such as Maintenance Mechanic, Electrician, Mason, Utility Systems Repairer-Operator, Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic, Plumber, Carpenter, etc.
Provide professional and technical support and knowledge on utilities, trades, and crafts.
Perform various administrative functions as a supervisor, such as recruitment, position classification, on- and off-boarding.
Prepare and implement short term work plans. Schedule work operations.
May serve as Project Supervisor, Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and/or Agreements Technical Representative (ATR) on facility related projects.
Responsible for initiating all procurement documents required for purchasing of equipment and materials.
Responsible for the care and maintenance of approximately 75 acres of park grounds, buildings, and trails.
Responsible for the department's fleet vehicle operation and maintenance.

San Juan National Historic Site consists of a system of 400+ year Spanish fortifications and bastions that encircle the 500-year-old City of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is the smallest island of the Greater Antilles chain. The island is 35 miles wide and 100 miles long with the highest elevation at 3000 feet.
Average island temperature year-round is 82-87 degrees during the day and 72- 77 degrees at night. The San Juan metropolitan area has all amenities including excellent health services and retail stores. Recreational opportunities can be found island wide.

Puerto Rico has a 11 .5% of sales tax. Cost of Living Allowance is 2.63%.
