About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Human Resources, Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall, Virginia. Fort Myer is a 15 minute commute to/from the Arlington National Cemetery Metro Station, a 10-15 minute commute to/from the Rosslyn, Virginia Metro Station, and is accessible by bus transportation.
Duties
Ensures established operating policies and procedures for management and control of operations at the Installation Collection Point that involves collecting, documenting, recording, packaging, shipping, and reporting of test results. Ensures specimens are handled with strict adherence to established quality assurance Standards apply to calibration of alcohol breath testing devices (where applicable), chain of custody procedures, review and maintenance of records and reports, physical security, and confirmation rate to enhance validity of the testing program. Oversees data input of urinalysis testing for the drug testing automated data systems. Develops training aids.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent will be certified by the DA DTC Certification Course within 9 months of assuming their duties. Failure to obtain certification or failure to maintain certification may result in administrative actions and removal from the position.
- Temporary Duty travel (TDY) may be required up to 5%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes inputting information into automated systems; assisting with arrangements for the collection of specimen; AND reviewing and providing reports for upper level management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
