About the Position: This position is located in the Personnel Control Facility in Fort Sill, OK. .
Duties
Examines case files to determine issues and sufficiency of evidence or documentation.
Performs research for legal precedents and analyzes their applicability for each case.
Compiles supporting evidence, prepares the notification and rights election correspondence, chain of command forwarding correspondence, medical evaluation board documents and retirement applications for consideration of approval.
Prepares for hearings and court appearances by briefing attorneys on the issues and by assembling and arranging case files, documents, and exhibits;
Assists the PCF Trial Counsel regarding pre-, during, and post-trial/board processing.
Serves as a court/board reporter during Summary and Special Court-Martial cases and Administrative Separation Board proceedings.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) preparing drafts, documents, and/ or other correspondence for review; 2) responding to requests for non-technical information; and 3) utilizing office automation software such as Microsoft Office Suite or PowerPoint to assemble files, maintain calendars, and/or prepare presentations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Qualified Typist Requirement: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
