This position is located Cass Job Corps Center in Ozark, Arkansas.
The incumbent is responsible for providing Motor Vehicle Operator service to the staff and students using various vehicles.

Duties
Operates motor vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds up to 26,000 pounds to include passenger shuttle vans (10-20 passenger
capacity), cargo vans and 30- to 40- passenger buses.
Vehicles are driven for long and short distances to transport and pick up articles, supplies, materials, and passengers.
Vehicles are sometimes driven through congested areas where drivers must exercise caution when backing to load or unload at docks, ramps, or
similar locations.
Assures that cargo is properly located, distributed, and secured, and that vehicle is not loaded beyond capacity.
Operates special equipment such as manual winches and tie-downs.
Responsible for operator maintenance, inspection, and recordkeeping. Major maintenance problems are brought to the supervisor's attention.
Responsible for other transportation and cargo services related duties.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
- Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.

- Subject to one year supervisory/managerial probationary period unless prior service is creditable. New Forest Service supervisors must successfully complete all components of the required training program before the end of their probationary period.
- Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- This is a Test Designated Position. You will be tested for illegal drugs prior to appointment and randomly thereafter. Appointment and
continued employment is conditional on negative results. This announcement constitutes 30 days advance notice.
- Must be suitable for Federal employment as determined by a Public Trust background investigation.
