This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the SUPERVISION/MANAGEMENT Work Category at the SENIOR Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - FE/Endpoint Svcs/Customer Spt PMO.
Duties
In this role, the incumbent performs the full range of first level supervisory duties, managing a staff of subordinates, setting priorities and scheduling work completion within the branch.
Incumbent has full functional authority and responsibility to achieve a wide range of project management and oversight. The incumbent determines program goals, objectives, and resource requirements;
The incumbent will coordinates the work with others within the branch, and other organizations as appropriate; plans, directs, assigns and reviews work of the employees, assuring that production and quality requirements are met;
Delegates authority and responsibility to subordinates, establishes clear expectations for personnel assigned, effectively delegates work, monitors progress
Develops and approves performance standards, evaluates subordinates’ performance, and prepares performance ratings; counsels employees and resolves grievances with scope of authority
Interviews and selects candidates for vacancies; supports career development of employees assigned; ensures a
continuing application of the DISA and DoD policy of equal employment opportunity;
The incumbent is responsible for developing the agency’s technical roadmap in support of the DoDNet Chief Engineer and Program Manager
In this role the incumbent is responsible for identifying new technology across areas of Transport, Compute and Storage, End User Devices, Cyber, Voice and VTC, DevSecOps, Automation, and Business and Admin.
Conceives, plans, and conducts work in unexplored areas where there is little or no theory to guide experimentation
Explores new techniques and approaches that need to be devised and develops future lines of fruitful experimentation.
Requirements

- This position is covered under DoD Manual 8140 which will be subject to future Cyber Workforce requirements as defined by the Manual.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirements:
Attention to Detail- experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.
Customer Service- developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs.
Oral Communication- briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
Problem Solving- identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in providing guidance regarding policy planning, and troubleshooting networks in cyber operations.
