About the Position: This position is located with the US Army materiel Command, Print and media Distribution Centers, Media Distribution Division, St. Louis, Missouri.
Duties
Develop and maintain Standard Army Publication storage, distribution and ordering systems.
Perform studies, determine system requirements, develop functional system descriptions and test requirements.
Conduct reviews, inspections, and analyses of all functions involved in processing publication requests and Army resupply orders to ensure the most efficient and economical means are being utilized.
Validate postproduction products for quality and performance to include analysis on discrepancy root cause and recommendations for process and efficiency improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Occasional travel/temporary duty (TDY) may be assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing various supply management system problems and developing recommended solutions; maintaining multiple systems, such as Standard Army Publications Systems (STARPUBS), Order Portal Web application (OP), Standard Warehouse Operating System (SWOS) and/or other systems related to distribution; AND evaluating system performance and usage to ensure efficiency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service. (GS-09)

Education Substitution: Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination education and experience: I have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
