You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DIV, COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will build presentations for decision makers on security issues related to threat assessments.
You will analyze major security problems, mission vulnerabilities, security impacts to mission assurance, and convergence difficulties involving multiple security disciplines and other functional areas to identify key issues.
You will develop Industrial Security plans for handling, safeguarding, transmitting, receiving, and generating classified information.
You will define, integrate, and implement strategic direction for vital Information, Personnel, Physical, or Industrial Security programs with long-term impact on the organization
You will evaluate Information Security procedures (e.g., classification, marking, downgrading, declassification of technical documents or information) to confirm they are being completed according to program requirements.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- A Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) certification is required within 24 months of assuming the position and must be maintained through the entire length of appointment.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in the management and the physical protection of sensitive or classified information, personnel, facilities, installations, or other sensitive materials, resources, or processes against criminal, terrorist, or hostile intelligence activities. 2) Serving as the onsite security representative for FRCSE to ensure the protection of systems and devices to ensure that sensitive information, equipment, and other material is not compromised, sabotaged, stolen, misused, or subjected to terrorist, malicious mischief, or other acts of willful interference. 3) Preparing detailed reports regarding security plans and statistical data, and making recommendations for security policies and procedures affecting security operations.4) Maintaining comprehensive billet structures and allocations for all personnel, researches and verifies personnel data in the Defense Information system for Security (DISS) and other applicable databases for individuals requesting program access. 5) Partnering with the Assistant Security Manager in the review of personnel security decisions of lower-ranking personnel for accuracy. 6) Preparing and transmitting various reports and requests such as Transfer-of-Access (TOA) foreign associate and travel reports.
