Duty Location: Boise, Idaho
Duties
Operates backhoes, dozers, dump trucks, loaders, semi-trucks and trailers, hydraulic truck-mounted cranes, forklifts, and motorboats. Operates trucks and vehicles on interstate highways. Operates vehicles and equipment off-road and in mountainous terrain in all weather conditions.
Conducts toolbox safety meetings. Works with laborers and trainee helpers to ensure safe work practices are adhered to. Ability to handle a variety of loads through a range of weights. Ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment safely, including power tools.
Assists in the setup, alignment, operation, and maintenance of drilling machines and equipment. Operates support equipment. Performs normal and preventative maintenance on all equipment as well as minor repairs. Operates high-pressure washers, chain saws, compactors, skill saws, and drill presses.
