The Civil Rights, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA), and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program Manager in Washington, D.C., oversees the planning and direction of these programs for the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS). This role advocates for access, equity, and diversity through innovative policies and serves as a liaison among senior management and staff.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include: Experience independently leading, coordinating, and conducting investigations, writing reports of data analysis and conciliations of allegations of discrimination and/or non-compliance with Federal regulations and statutes by using fact-finding techniques, analyses, and evaluations of equal opportunity principles to achieve compliance, identify and resolve problems early and at the lowest level possible. To qualify for the Grade 15, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the GS-14, it must include: Experience with a broad range of concepts, principles, and methods of a broad area in the field of Civil Rights and EEO. Knowledge of the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, , Equal Pay Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Rehabilitation Act, precedent court and administrative decisions, executive orders, agency rules and procedures for conducting investigations and negotiating settlement agreements. Experience conceiving, planning, and managing entire administrative functions for broad, emerging, and critical diversity, inclusion, and EEO programs. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Written Communication - Writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Interpersonal Skills - Shows understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, concern, and politeness to others; develops and maintains effective relationships with others; may include effectively dealing with individuals who are difficult, hostile, or distressed; relates well to people from varied backgrounds and different situations; is sensitive to cultural diversity, race, gender, disabilities, and other individual differences. Conflict Management - Manages and resolves conflicts, grievances, confrontations, or disagreements in a constructive manner to minimize negative personal impact.
