This position is a SECRETARY (OA), GS-0318-7/8 working in Anchorage, Alaska for the R7-Division of Migratory Birds. The full performance level of this position is GS-8.

Duties
Cost of Living Allowance: In addition to the yearly salary, this position is entitled to a 1.69% cost-of-living allowance (COLA) https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/pay-leave/pay-systems/nonforeign-areas/#url=COLA-Rates .This allowance is subject to annual review, adjustment, and rate decrease.
Alaska Return Rights (excludes Anchorage and Fairbanks): If you are a current U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service employee in a professional series, and you are transferring from a Region outside of Alaska, you will be eligible to return to a position in your home Region upon completion of a minimum 3-year tour of duty in Alaska. If you exercise this option, your home Region will place you in a position of equivalent grade in the same general occupational classification series that you occupied in Alaska. For the professional series at the GS-5 level or above.
As a SECRETARY (OA) your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Advise personnel on travel requirements and procedures.
Organize and maintain office organizational charts, telephone directories, and/or routine information.
Prepare requisitions for office supplies and equipment.
Use computer software for word processing (Word perfect, Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification.
Minimum Qualification [GS-7]
1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience may include: 1) arranging travel and creating travel vouchers; 2) updating calendars and using Microsoft Office applications; 3) following established administrative procedures; 4) entering time and attendance.
Minimum Qualification [GS-8]
1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience may include: 1) providing executive level administrative support; 2) arranging travel and submitting travel vouchers; 3) ensuring time and attendance is entered accurately and submitted timely; 4) utilizing office automation, reviewing correspondence for accuracy, and interpreting guidelines.
