Duties

Provides legal review of proposed business agreements, procurement actions, contract claims and contract enforcement. Practices preventive law, which may include developing and conducting educational sessions regarding prevention of litigation and, recommend changes to policy impacting The Exchange. Provides analysis of current and proposed laws and policy and provides counsel to The Exchange directorates.

Requirements

Qualifications

Law degree. 5 years legal experience as a licensed and practicing attorney, with at least 3 years' experience with business transactional law. Exceptionally strong writing and verbal communication skills. Excellent legal research abilities. Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills. Strong legal analytical skills. Strong collaborative skills. Strong work ethic. Good business acumen. Ability to work independently with sense of urgency, responsibility and fairness. Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders ( executive management, military personnel and government personnel), adjusting communications to the situation, and successfully understanding and communicating priorities to each audience. Education

Professional law degree (Juris Doctorate/JD) from a recognized and accredited law school. Member of the bar of the highest court of a state or the District of Columbia. Five years of legal experience as a licensed and practicing attorney.
