About the Position: Provides general administrative support to the Engineering/Construction and Operations/Regulatory branch(es),
Duties
Maintain information and statistical data and prepares various recurring and non-recurring reports.
Perform timekeeping and related duties using an automated reporting system which is linked to a financial management system.
Maintain library of regulations, regulatory resource materials, and standard operating procedures for preparation of Regulatory permit documents, staff meeting notes, and documentations files.
Maintain personnel records for compliance with established regulations to include filling and purging.
Use a variety of computer software to perform a wide range of word processing function such as correspondence, public notices, reports, and technical papers to support the work of the office.
Effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) non-technical information to various individuals (public) and staff members regarding agency regulations manuals, handbooks, and other reference materials.
Generate, edit, modify, and transmit various reports, documents, and correspondence for review by professional staff, for internal use, or for release to the public.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Typing duties in the position require less than competitive level of proficiency and can be performed with keyboarding skills less than 40 wpm. A qualified typist is NOT required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower or second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
GS-07: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialize experience is defined as: Performing various clerical and administrative work such as preparing forms, documents or correspondence, reports, files, or other documents submitted by staff members; utilizing office automation software to update databases and run reports, maintaining tracking systems, managing a filing system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower or second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
