Duties
Administers psychological tests, at various sites for ARSOF Assessment and Selection Courses as well as routine psychological evaluations (e.g. security clearance, SERE instructor, and Sniper school) and professional development programs.
Responsible for tracking the number of computer-based scoring tokens, remaining and notifying the Command psychologists or NCOIC when additional scoring tokens need to be reordered.
Responsible for the monthly conversion of psychological testing data into a readable document in support of Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Assessment and Selection Panel Interviews.
Serves as the relatively autonomous Psychometrist in administering, scoring and compiling the results of batteries of psychological tests (MMPI-3, Personality Assessment Inventory, Myers Briggs, Wonderlic, Shipley, TABE, GAMA).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. Are you willing and able to meet the lifting requirement?
- This is a Temporary position intended to last 13 months. A temporary position may be extended to a maximum of three years and may be terminated at any time during the duration of the appointment, depending upon the needs of management.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This is an obligated position.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 50% or less of the time.
- Required to travel 50% or more of the time between Fort Bragg, NC and Camp Mackall, NC.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1. Complies with rules, regulations and ethical guidelines governing the security and control of test materials. 2. Extracts records and other testing information from computer files using standard system formats. 3. Uses automation to print and assemble testing reports for use by psychologists. 4. Executes and maintains 100% accountability of over $200,000 worth of psychological testing materials and software. 5. Routinely prepares complex reports that integrate psychological information and test data for review by Colonels, Lieutenant Colonels, Command Sergeants Majors and GA-14s.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
