About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Cyber Military Intelligence Group, Fort Eisenhower, GA.

Duties

Advises CMIG S2X management and CI/HUMINT Function Team on the development of specific tailored products to respond to customers' needs throughout the intelligence cycle from collection to processing, and reporting. Conducts complex research and analysis of cyberspace threats; networks; tactics, techniques, and procedures; adversaries; operations; capabilities; and trends using All-Source Intelligence. Produces scientific and technical (S and T) intelligence products, including forecasts and overall capabilities assessments in a difficult and complex intelligence subject area which has application to major customer requirements. Conducts mission management, coordination, deconfliction, and synchronization of all CI activities for Cyber Military Intelligence Group supporting Service Component Command (ASCC) level G2X.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a TS (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency and Defense Intelligence Agency accredited facilities and networks. [Military and External Affiliates Division (MEAD) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]
  • Temporary duty (TOY) travel may be required 20% or less of the time.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible schedule, may include weekend and holidays.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Army Intelligence Badge and Credentials.

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.
