About the Position: Serves as the civilian Deputy to the 916th Support Brigade Commander in the management of the day-to-day operations for rotation and tenant activities. Formulates goals, policies, and objectives to present to the Commander of the 916th Support Brigade

Duties

Manage and control programs to support operations of the brigade including determining program goals and developing plans to achieve program goals. Provide direction in accordance with the commander’s intent for the military and civilian workforce. Delegate authority to subordinate supervisors and hold them accountable for the performance of their organizational elements. Enact general personnel management policy, personnel actions affecting key employees, and other actions with possible repercussions to meet organizational requirements. Determine the need for and develop plans for organizational changes which have considerable impact such as those involving operating costs and key positions. Implement an internal control system to affect a sound system of accountability. Formulate local policies, procedures, and implementing guidance for the commanders review. Develop, coordinate and execute all plans necessary to accomplish organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, enrollment in Continuous Evaluation is required
  • A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required unless previously completed

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
