About the Position: This position is located at Tooele Army Depot, Occupational Health Clinic, Department of Preventive Medicine which is location in Tooele County. The clinic is approximately 37 miles east of Salt Lake City.

Duties
Maintain patient records according to regulation ensuring each entry contains proper patient and health care provider identification.
Enter labs and/or x-ray order into medical records for providers signatures.
Obtain vital signs, height/weight measurements, and health assessments for military and civilian personnel.
Administer immunizations and TB skin tests to patient and to record results in the medical records.
Perform audiograms, vision testing, pulmonary function testing, electrocardiograms (EKGs)
Obtain serum and urine specimens from patients and prepare specimens for shipping to contract lab.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) Certification within 180 days of hire.
- This position requires that you obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- The incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Certification to perform pulmonary function testing within 180 days of hire.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) counseling patients on test results; 2) conducting occupational health tests in any of the following (audiograms, spirometry, vision screening, electrocardiograms); 3) taking vital signs; and 4) operating an automated system to input and retrieve medical information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
