Duties

Assist in negotiations with contractors dealing with time, price, and technical adjustments to contracts. Arrange site visit reports used to keep the organization informed of progress with project construction. Enforce safety program requirements in day-to-day construction inspection activities. Oversee construction methods to ensure contractor's work complies with contract requirements. Ensure adherence to safety program for safety practices required by construction codes.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
• May be expected to travel (TDY) in this position up to 10% of the time for business purposes.
• Position may be converted to permanent without further competition.
• Temporary promotion may be made permanent or extended up to a maximum of five years.
• Time Limited Detail NTE may be made permanent or extended at management discretion.
• Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years.
