You will serve as a in the SUPERVISORY GENERAL BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY SPECIALIST in the Project Management and Scheduling Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Duties

You will perform supervisory duties, including mentoring and coaching subordinates, resolving conflicts, effecting disciplinary action, recruiting/hiring and rewarding personnel, and matching branch member skills to customer needs. You will communicate division objectives across different sites, program offices, TPO’s, projects and teams. You will provide schedule development, schedule analysis and earned value management support to programs and projects across NAVAIR, in order to meet warfighter needs in a most efficient and timely manner.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for STRL Demo jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower pay band. This requirement is called time-in-band. Time-in-band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least year of specialized one experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NM-03=GS 9-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following: 1)Providing schedule development, schedule analysis and earned value management support to programs and projects; 2)evaluate and document employee performance in a software system; 3)communicating instructions to subordinates, measuring subordinates progress on work assignments and communicating needed directions to correct problems, improve quality, and encourage success effectively to achieve required technical objectives; 4) carrying out DTS travel approvals, time keeping, and other administrative duties.
