About the Position: This Construction Control Representative position is with Construction Division within the Omaha District, U.S Army Corps of Engineers. The position performs inspections and construction management supporting field and office engineering.

Duties

Performs construction inspection and management tasks supporting field engineering and office engineering functions for assigned projects. Performs biddability, constructibility and specifications. Reviews contractor's proposed working schedules for logic, adequacy and feasibility. Investigates needs for change orders. Appropriately coordinates changes to sustainable engineering designs and features.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a state issued driver’s license.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • Incumbent may be required to work night shifts and/or weekends.
  • Incumbent will be required to complete training, licensing, certification, refresher courses, and/or permits required for position.
  • Incumbent serves as an incidental motor vehicle operator. Incumbent must be physically able to operate the motor vehicle without danger to self or to others.
  • This position is subject to a mobility agreement as a condition of employment.
