This position is located in the Office of the Executive Director for Operations, Executive Operations division. The supervisor for this position is Sherri Miotla, Acting Deputy Associate Director for Operations. This position IS NOT non-bargaining unit. This position IS NOT subject to Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. This position IS NOT subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements. 

Duties

As a Correspondence Analyst for the Office of the Executive Director for Operations (OEDO), your duties will include a wide range of information and records management functions that provide vital office infrastructure in the areas of correspondence management, Agencywide Document Access Management System (ADAMS) administration, and the operation of the OEDO principal correspondence tracking system(s), including the System for Tracking and Reporting (STAR). Leading and facilitating the coordination of functions with OEDO and SECY staff, and other offices and regions in the course of day-to-day business.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be able to display: Knowledge and understanding of administrative regulations and policies relating to correspondence control and records management procedures; policies and procedures related to ADAMS operation and administration; and correspondence preparation including a thorough knowledge of spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure. (See examples below) Describe specific experience and training which demonstrate your knowledge of NRC administrative policies, procedures, and practices relating to correspondence management and preparation. Describe experience and training related to ADAMS document processing, policies, and procedures. Show experiences in a work environment that required frequent management and review of correspondence, records management, application of grammatical principles, punctuation and sentence structure. Ability to meet and deal tactfully and effectively with individuals at all levels, to exchange information, discuss administrative matters, and to gain understanding and cooperation in matters related to correspondence. Ability to review and discuss results tactfully and constructively for correspondence composed by others. Describe specific experience and training which demonstrate your ability to effectively interact with multiple levels of management and staff. Give examples of with whom you interact and for what purposes. Show how your ability to communicate effectively has led to successful discussions and gained you understanding and cooperation with others in administrative and correspondence related matters that strengthen your working relationship. Give examples of your ability to tactfully and constructively relay results of correspondence reviews to others. Ability to work in a team environment. (See examples below) Describe your experience, education and training that demonstrate your ability to work as a team member. Provide specific examples where you have participated on a team, the purpose of the team and a description of your level of participation on the team, challenges you experienced while on the team, and how you resolved those challenges. Show how your ability of using interpersonal skills effectively has led to successful discussions and gained you understanding and cooperation with others in administrative and correspondence related matters that strengthen your working relationship. Demonstrated proficiency with computer-based software applications and automated information tracking systems. (See examples below) Describe specific experience, training, and accomplishments which demonstrate your knowledge of and ability to utilize computer-based system applications and automated information tracking systems. Show what specific software you have used (WordPerfect, WORD, Excel, etc.) and for what purposes. Describe your experience establishing automated tracking systems. Describe your experience with various automated systems used to process, track and maintain information. In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as working experience that includes the following: GG-9: Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-7) is defined as basic knowledge of and/or ability to understanding the fields of administrative communications; government correspondence control procedures, organizational structures; correspondence preparation; and the ability to work in a team environment. Candidates must be able to effectively collaborate and deal tactfully, confidentially, and professionally with all levels of personnel. GG-11: Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-9) is defined as knowledge of and/or experience understanding the fields of administrative communications; government correspondence control procedures, organizational structures; correspondence preparation; and the ability to work in a team environment. Candidates must be able to effectively collaborate and deal tactfully, confidentially, and professionally with all levels of personnel. GG-12: Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-11) is defined as demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the fields of administrative communications; government correspondence control procedures, organizational structures; correspondence preparation; and the ability to work in a team environment. Candidates must be able to effectively collaborate and deal tactfully, confidentially, and professionally with all levels of personnel.
